AI Disclosure

Outfit Styler uses generative AI throughout the experience. This page explains what is AI-generated, how, and what the limitations are — in line with our obligations under the EU AI Act and equivalent transparency rules elsewhere.

What is generated by AI

• Outfit concepts and stylist notes — generated by OpenAI's GPT-4o text model from your style brief.
• Product matching — GPT-4o ranks our catalog of real, third-party products against each concept slot.
• Try-on images — generated by OpenAI's gpt-image-2 model. Garment references are sent so the AI can compose the outfit; the resulting image is synthetic.
• Models in try-on images — when you do not upload a personal photo, the person depicted is fictional. They do not exist in real life and are not based on any specific human.

What is NOT AI-generated

• The product catalog (real products from real brands).
• Prices, links, and brand names.
• Photos you upload of yourself or items you own.

Visible labeling

Every AI-generated try-on image carries an "AI-generated" badge in the top-left corner, both in the gallery and in the zoomed view. We do not remove or obscure this badge.

Limitations to be aware of

• Fit and size accuracy — the AI does not measure your body or the garment. Use the brand's size chart for purchase decisions.
• Color & material — the AI may render slightly different colors or fabrics than the actual product.
• Detail fidelity — small details (logos, prints, hardware) may not be perfectly reproduced.
• Background and styling — the AI invents the setting; this is not where the product was photographed.

Use of brand reference images

Reference images of products from third-party brands are used to instruct the AI about the garment's shape, color, and texture. We instruct the AI explicitly NOT to copy the face, body, or features of any human model who happens to appear in those references. The AI generates a fictional model independent of those references.

Personal photos

If you upload a personal photo, it is processed to generate try-on images of you wearing the outfit. We require explicit, recorded consent before any photo is uploaded. See our Privacy Policy for the data flow.

Reporting issues

If you believe an AI-generated image incorrectly resembles a real person (including a brand model), or contains content that violates someone's rights, contact hello@outfitstyler.example (placeholder) and we will review and remove the image.
